IQTrace Logs - not tracked

Hi,

we have installed and registered IQservice on our windows machine, We could see trace logs when we do uninstall of IQservice, but it is not showing any logs when we install or when we perform any actions.

any suggestion will be helpful

Set following trace options while starting/restating IQService.

Option IQService.exe -l -s

Trace Level 0-3; 0=off 1=error 2=info 3=debug

I already have the trace level on 3. But couldn’t find any trace logs. is there any command to enable the trace logs.

Try restarting IQService. From registry entry double check that the required trace level is set and showing up, sometimes it doesn’t get set and needs a restart of service. Verify the log location provided too.

For the command, make sure to be in the IQSerivce folder. Then run iqservice -f “place the location of the folder her.log”. For example: iqservice -f “\C:Program Files\IQService\IQTrace.log” . Then restart the service. It should start generating the log files.

Maybe already known (but not for all readers of this thread):
When running as a service the parameters are stored/used from the Windows registry in:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SailPoint\IQService Instances\IQService-Instance1

Also make sure the service account running IQService has full permissions to the registry key, so the command line parameters are set/updated in the regisstry.
