Hi Community,
I was checking to modify some UI texts in IIQ 8.3p3, but I find that the file “iiqCustom.properties” located in "/usr/local/tomcat9/webapps/identityiq/WEB-INF/classes/sailpoint/web/messages " doesn’t have any information.
I had already read the article, I’m just worried if it’s okay for the “iiqCustom.properties” file to have no information, since it should have the text labels for the English language and I don’t know if adding in that file only the label of text that I want to modify (and once again being left without the other texts), can all the texts on the portal be affected?
The “iiqCustom.properties” file should have a structure like this:
The localized messages are part of the identityiq.jar in the WEB-INF/lib directory.
For the Italian version you can see it when you unpack the identityiq.jar (using cd WEB-INF/lib; mkdir identityiq; cd identityiq; jar xvf ../identityiq.jar) and go to file: ‘sailpoint/web/messages/iiqMessages_it.properties’
this file contains the Italian version for all Out-of-the-box (OOTB) messages of IdentityIQ.
The iiqCustom.properties (you mentioned) is used to overwrite the OOTB messages.
For instance change the thankyou message of the password reset page from ‘Grazie’ to ‘Grazie mille’, add the following to the iiqCustome.properties file:
