Hey GUYS, I need help while generating ticket though service desk i want to remove ADD from every attr can i do it

Hey GUYS, I need help while generating ticket though service desk i want to remove ADD from every attr can i do it??

Look in the Description field of your ServiceDesk connection. In particular, look for $!item.Operation

That is what is generating the Add. Or it will be a Remove if something needs to be removed.

You can remove $!item.Operation and it will just be the $item.name: $item.value

@Carlatto Nope i cant find any $!item.Operation in description :

#if($plan.requests)#foreach($req in $plan.requests) Target System: $req.resource $newline#if($req.operation == ‘Create’) Action: ADD$newline#else Action: $req.operation$newline#end#if($req.items)#foreach($item in $req.items)#if($item.name==‘UserPrincipalName’||$item.name == ‘TechnicalRole’||$item.name == ‘DisplayName’||$item.name == ‘Email’||$item.name == ‘USER ID’||$item.name == ‘TenantID’)$item.name: $item.value$newline#end#end#end$newline#end#end

In the velocity sript remove the Action :ADD etc and it will remove. can use the below. Let me know how it goes.

#if($plan.requests)
#foreach($req in $plan.requests)
Target System: $req.resource $newline

Removed the Action: ADD logic from here

#if($req.items)
#foreach($item in $req.items)
#if($item.name == ‘UserPrincipalName’ || $item.name == ‘TechnicalRole’ || $item.name == ‘DisplayName’ || $item.name == ‘Email’ || $item.name == ‘USER ID’ || $item.name == ‘TenantID’)
$item.name: $item.value$newline
#end
#end
#end
$newline
#end
#end

so are u telling me to just remove add action and update description like this

#if($plan.requests)#foreach($req in $plan.requests) Target System: $req.resource $newline#if($req.operation == ‘Create’) #else Action: $req.operation$newline#end#if($req.items)#foreach($item in $req.items)#if($item.name==‘UserPrincipalName’||$item.name == ‘TechnicalRole’||$item.name == ‘DisplayName’||$item.name == ‘Email’||$item.name == ‘USER ID’||$item.name == ‘TenantID’)$item.name: $item.value$newline#end#end#end$newline#end#end

i tried below one :

#if($plan.requests) #foreach($req in $plan.requests) Target System: $req.resource $newline #if($req.items) #foreach($item in $req.items) #if($item.name==‘UserPrincipalName’ || $item.name==‘TechnicalRole’ || $item.name==‘DisplayName’ || $item.name==‘Email’ || $item.name==‘USER ID’ || $item.name==‘TenantID’) $item.name: $item.value $newline #end #end #end $newline #end #end

but still ADD is coming

The screenshot you show is from ISC. Can you show a screenshot of what your ServiceDesk App is showing in the ticket?

@Carlatto you mean to say inside the SNOW portal what ticket is showing?

Yes. Can you show a screenshot of the SNOW ticket.

Hi @Rakesh_Singh_1234 ,

Where you wanted to remove the Add string from the ServiceNow description or SailPoint ISC response. If you want to customize the ServiceNow ticket description, you can. The above screen you showed looks like SailPoint OOTB, can you explain what the exact business case is here?.

Thanks,

PVR.

Ok. So looks like the screenshot you shared is from Sailpoint ISC provisioning action. The “ADD” comes automatically by sailpoint, the same thing will not come in your servicenow as long as your description is the way above. So dont worry.It is default setting of sailpoint and not much canbe done about it.

This has info on the same. The ISC provisioning request view in the ISC UI will always show “ADD” regardless — that’s the internal operation label and cannot be hidden from the ISC side

but it is coming in the snow ticket as well that ADD

Removing the wording of “Add”…that’s as if you’re getting a bank statement without knowing if you’re putting money into the bank account or taking money out.

Only possibility.

Add is in your description in the sailpoint connector of Service Desk.
