Get Network Config scope documentation needs updating

This documentation needs updating: get-auth-org-network-config | SailPoint Developer Community

The Authorization scopes says the token needs sp:auth-org:read, but there is no such scope offered in SailPoint tokens. The scopes likely have been renamed in SailPoint and I am not sure which scope to apply.

I need to update my token but am not sure what scope to give it.

I noticed this post is actually in the incorrect category—let’s get you moved to the right place and see if anyone has an answer there!

What scope needs to be applied here? Or, can you create a Jira ticket to track this documentation update on your side?

We have opened an engineering ticket to track this work: PLTIN-7275. They will assign the correct scopes and get this working.

Thanks for the update Colin. I look forward to being able to use this endpoint.

Hi Colin,

Do you have any updates?

Hey @dominick-miller,

The ticket is still in the backlog for our engineering team to look at and provide the right scope to the User Interface.

I am following that ticket and once I get an update I will report back!

Hey Tyler,

Thanks for your response. If the delay is in updating the documentation, then can you let me know what the right scope is on this thread in the meantime? I am blocked from using this API at all and have development work pending this API scope.

Hey @dominick-miller,

Unfortunately it isn’t just the documentation. The scope needed for this particular endpoint isn’t defined and needs to be created and added as a part of the authorization to access the endpoint. I am following the ticket mentioned above and will report back as soon as the ticket is updated.

Hey @tyler_mairose,

Thank you for the update. My team is eager to be able to use this endpoint. Can you provide a rough timeline for when this scope will get implemented? The alternative for us right now is to provide sp:scopes:all which I am very hesitant to do.

Hey Dominick,

I just got a notification that this was assigned to an engineer, I don’t have an exact timeline but it did just get picked up to be worked on.

Hey Tyler,

Are you at liberty to provide an update?

Hey @dominick-miller,

The ticket is still be worked on, I have added a comment on the ticket to ask for a completion date and will see what they respond with.

Update: The team responded and said it has been picked up for this sprint which ends in two weeks and it should be completed by then!
