Forms - Search field filter value with partial match

Hi team,

I’m working with search select fields in forms. I’m trying to use the filter value with inline variables to search for a value in the description of a role.
I understand that this field uses the “exact” keyword to do the search. This filter value only works when the full description is passed, but I’m trying to do the search with a partial match in the role description.

Let’s say the description is filled with the words “ITEM A ITEM B” and I want to search this role using the filter value “ITEM B”.
Is there a way to search the role by partial match in the description?

Hi Ariel,

You should be able to use the wildcard (*) to match search results here. You can configure your search query like *ITEM B* to include any role that contains this keyword.

Hi,

You can directly use something like below in search query itself, it should give all the roles containing item a in the description.

enabled:true OR (description:item a)
