Epic Provisioning with Departments

I am trying to provision new Epic accounts with their respective department set.

I am able to aggregate departments just fine and have tested assigning via access profiles and roles

When I test the sailpoint identity shows roles or access profile applied correctly but the entitlement will not set. And the department on the epic account is left blank. In the events log i get add entitlement error and account modify pass error:

Does anyone know how to correctly set an user’s department?

According to the error and screenshots, you shared , Epic Department (LoginDepartmentFilterList) isn’t behaving like a true entitlement. The failure is coming from UpdateLoginDepartments, which suggests Epic expects this value as a login/account attribute, typically set at account creation, not added later via access profiles or roles

You should model Department as an account attribute and set it via the Epic provisioning policy or rule on create, rather than as an entitlement.

If you look at the specific error what it is telling you is that this attribute can be set one (and only one) of two ways. Either direct through writing to attribute 20820 or via being included in a Linked Template’s configuration to set.

You clearly have a linked template and this is not working.

This is an Epic limitation. Ask your Epic resorces how they would prefer to handle this issue.

Hello,

Is it EPIC EMP or EPIC SER connector?
