As an extension to our source auditing capability, we are excited to announce that the source auditing capability is now extended for the specific schema attribute auditing in the Identity Security Cloud! Now audit logs of update source schema events include changes to the multi-valued attribute settings, entitlement attribute settings, data type updates, total attribute count for account and entitlement schemas.
Description
The Identity Security Cloud relies on sources as its fundamental building blocks. These sources enable automation and integration with other systems, thereby facilitating governance. In the past, editing a source configuration would trigger an audit event for all the source configuration attributes.
With this new capability in place, we are now compliant with audit event standards for source schema auditing. Now audit logs of update source schema events include changes to the multi-valued attribute settings, entitlement attribute settings, data type updates, total attribute count for account and entitlement schemas.
High-Level Capabilities
- Auditing now covers changes to the multi-valued and entitlement attribute settings for account and entitlement schemas.
- Data type changes in schema attributes are logged in a user-friendly, readable format.
- Attribute removal/addition scenarios are audited for the following operations:
- Account schema attributes
- Main entitlement object type attributes
- Child attributes of entitlement schemas
- The audit events contain a field representing the total number of schema attributes after modification. This count will increase, decrease, or remain unchanged depending on whether attributes are added, removed, or modified.
- The audit log provides clear, actionable information for users regarding schema changes.
