In our IdentityIQ enviorment I have a couple of users reporting system errors when trying to submit a request for access. Researching the logs with the error code I am getting the following message and have no idea what this means. Any help will be highly appreciated.

you may need to validate all dynamic scope to see if there’s any missing dynamic scope of misconfigured dynamic scope.

We have seen this earlier , this could be because of multiple reason

  1. DynamicScope is missing for the quicklink

  2. using the deeplink URL for access request page example “identityiq/AccessRequest…”, these quicklink are loaded for the Dynamic Scope only once logining is completed .

It is only effecting two users the Dynamic Scope being broken I would assume would effect anybody that falls under that filter.

Looking at the mentioned issue and the IIQ version 8.2

I remember a lot of our quicklinks used to encounter null pointer exceptions post deployment between the lower environments.

If this is something relevant there is a community post with the solution mentioned
here.

Hi Hemant,
Is there anything specific we should look for? I have the same issue in my company and the quicklink looks pretty fine for me. Every user has right to “request access”, however somehow for some entitlements some users get an error. I tried to replicate the issue on my standard user, however unsuccessfully. I also add that it happened after we upgraded our IIQ for 8.3
Thanks in advance!

Hi Ada
There’s couple of possibilities.

I would check at least if there are no errors or exceptions being thrown from account selector rule if user is requesting a role. Also it might be something wrong in dynamic scope configuration eg. In selectors. It is also possible it might be a provisioning policy issue.

It generaly depends on what type of object is requested, ob ehich stage of the.request is the error happening etc…
