Enable/Disable account for an identity using SailPoint APIs

We are trying to enable/disable account via API for Active Directory accounts : The request shows completed , the task id generated, shows completed and even the account activity shows complete with operation as enable /disable but still no effect on the actual account, it still remains in the same state i.e. neither getting enabled or disabled.

Has anyone tried the same or encountered the same issue ? Please provide your inputs.

Did you check events in ISC for that account? Is that being tracked - either failed or passed?

I think these enable or disable via tasks is applicable for delimited sources only.
