Dynamic 365 CRM

Hi All,

We are using OOTB Dynamic 365 CRM connector to manage users and their security roles and teams.

Looking for an advice on how to manage various projects/modules users are part of in dynamic 365 and user access for the same.

Your requirement is not much clear. Could you please elaborate.
In general, Connecting SailPoint to your Dynamics 365 CRM allows you to manage identity and access management use cases related to read and provision various Dynamics 365 CRM Native IAM Objects as follows:

  • Users: Licensed Users in Dynamics 365 CRM are synchronized from Azure Active Directory. Other types of users such as Application Users and Stub Users can be created in CRM itself.
  • Teams: Teams provide an easy way to share business objects and let you collaborate with other people across business units. While a team belongs to one business unit, it can include users from other business units. A user can be associated with more than one team.
  • Security Roles: Security roles define access level on different records. These roles can be assigned to users or teams.

Thanks for the response.

We have Dynamics 365 CRM connector to manage users, their Teams and Security Roles.

However on Dynamics side, a single Security role is configured in such a way that it provides access to multiple projects/modules created on it. We can’t perform access reviews on security roles unless we get the project/module information for that user.

Hence, we would like to understand a way to get all the projects/modules user is part of in Dynamics 365.
