Deprecated API endpoint?

According to the API documentation website the following endpoint is deprecated

/workflows/v1/:id/executions

In the same documentation, I do not see an alternative to get all the executions from a particular workflow.

Is there anything in the works to replace this? Or should the endpoint not be marked as deprecated?

Direct execution read endpoints are depreciated. Can you try to use Search API querying workflowexecutions index.

Thanks, I’ll look at that.

Sadly this will not fit my use case, as I want the execution ID at workflow runtime (i.e. the call will be the first step in my workflow), so this will not be available in Search at that time.

Is there a SailPoint rep that can help address the ask? Do we know why it is deprecated?

Hey @sauvee,

Yeah, there is no other API for this today. The non-deprecated execution endpoints (get, history, cancel) all need the execution ID as input, and search has no workflow execution index.

The good news is that the endpoint you use still has about 21 months left. Its deprecation note gives July 2028 as the removal date, so there is time for SailPoint to ship a replacement.

What’s also weird is it is not listed in Public API Deprecations though, which SailPoint calls the single source of truth for deprecations.
