Deploying VA to dev tenant -- dhcp bump service missing - ccg.log is missing

I have concerns that there might be an issue with the VA download. Are these two items a concern?

  1. ccg.log is missing. The ccg-start.log is there as well as the charon, fluent-start, fluent-stdout, fluent, va_agent and worker logs.

  2. The ESX DHCP bump service is missing. Running this command states it is not there. Prior VA downloads have had it there. Is this something to be expected with the new va download or is there an issue with the download? sudo systemctl disable esx_dhcp_bump.service

When adding the VA to the cluster it adds just fine. I made sure not to reboot the VA and just giving it plenty of time to do any updates.

I’m pointing to the pod se01-useast1

When I run the below command I see the state as finished and the result as success.

  • grep SUCCESS charon.log | grep SERVICE_SETUP

sudo docker ps -a output looks fine

–history
I was using the VA that was available for devrel, but couldn’t get the flatcar linux OS to update to the latest. It got up to 36xx.x.x version but wouldn’t go any higher.

I recreated two new VA boxes today and both are “working”

When I try to connect to an AD environment with a new AD connector I’m getting an error:

“va-gateway certificate not found”
this is in the ccg-start.log file

I was having this error yesterday as well so I thought I would start fresh with no reboots to the va boxes this morning.

Hi @ts_fpatterson I am running into the same issue where I am not seeing the bump service, so not able to disable it? I know you said that recreating fixed the issue. I tried doing that but ended up having same issue. Do you have any other pointers for troubleshooting.

What platform are you using for your VA? I think the esx_dhcp_bump.service is only there is you are using VMWare.

we are using vsphere, Deploying Virtual Appliances - SailPoint Identity Services

I downloaded the old VA from the link referenced. I wasn’t able to get it to work with a production VA download.

I’m using ESXi for my host.

Hey @ts_fpatterson , were you able to resolve this issue . I am facing the same issue . Unable to make any direct source connections.

Thanks

I have not resolved it, any luck on your end?
