VA is already paired message while setting up VA

Hi All

While creating a new VA cluster within ISC tenant, i am getting an issue.
When I create the VAs within the cluster and use the pairing code, it shows the error - VA is already paired. But it is showing up as inactive and in draft state. When I check the status, its showing unpaired from the cluster page.

I was assuming the status would change after sometime, but it didn’t.
Earlier, as much as I remember, I used a yaml file for pairing. That worked fine while setting up a VA cluster.

I can go back to the client and start from scratch, but I am just curious about the issue here.

Hi Arshdeep, if not already have you tried -

  1. Restarting the CCG service
  2. Rebooting the VA from the backend
  3. Restarting the VA Cluster via the UI
Also might be worthwhile checking /home/sailpoint/log/charon.log & /home/sailpoint/log/ccg.log logs on VA and CCG service as it can have error messages that can be used for further debugging - https://community.sailpoint.com/t5/IdentityNow-Connectors/Virtual-Appliance-Troubleshooting-Guide/ta-p/78735

Hi @arshdeep_thapar

Kindly note that you are no longer can set config.yaml file.
You need to do with matching key pair using bootstrap command

Enter the command to get a pairing code: va-bootstrap pair
Enter the pairing code within 4 hours and select Pair .
Wait about 30 minutes for configuration to finish. When VA configuration is complete, the VA Status will change to Connected.

Thank you!
Dharani.

Hi @arshdeep_thapar,

Reset your VA pair using below command: va-bootstrap reset and

Reconfigure your VA.

Thank You.

@arshdeep_thapar you can reset the pairing and try again but if its an image related issue connect with Sailpoint devops team to get the latest images as few older images do not support this new way of pairing
