Dedicated Servers For Certifications and Reports

Which IIQ version are you inquiring about? 8.X

Share all details about your problem, including any error messages you may have received.

In order to avoid conflict with other tasks, we would like to dedicate Identity IQ servers to reports and certifications. How can I configure app servers to run only reports or certifications?

Hi @kilstromcraig

Welcome to the SailPoint Developer Community!

You need to explore the ServiceDefinition option from debug pages for available options.

We will have dedicated Request/UI- server and Task- server in general but your requirement seems beyond what is available by default.

Task - Server v/s Request/UI - server, but I didn’t find* anything related to reports and certification, this could be new idea(raise at ideas.sailpoint.com) or valid enhancement request which you can submit to sailpoint.

I found related topic:

Thanks @pattabhi ,

We have the Task and UI servers configured.

The Utilizing a specific server host for provisioning topic only suggests customizing which server(s) run task services.

It does seem that the requirement to specify specific report or certification servers is beyond what’s available by default and unsure yet whether there’s a custom configuration that will meet it.

Hi @kilstromcraig

It seems we have limited flexibility with dedicated servers for reports and certifications, as per the current service definition.

Your primary concern regarding performance should be database, as it plays a pivotal role. If the database is healthy, highly available, and high performing, then we are well-positioned for good end user experience.

Therefore, you must ensure the database is meticulously cared for with the dedicated assistance of your DBAs, focusing on sustained health and optimal performance.

I may need to drill down further into the requirements and if needed offer other reporting solutions.
