ConnectorError 422 – GitHub Entitlement Provisioning Fails Despite Available Seats

We are encountering an issue while provisioning GitHub entitlements through SailPoint IdentityNow. The connector throws the following error:[ConnectorError] 422 Validation Failed:
{“resource”:“OrganizationInvitation”,“code”:“unprocessable”,“field”:“data”,“message”:“No seats are available to invite this user”}”

Steps Taken:

  • Verified with the GitHub application team regarding license availability.

  • They confirmed that additional seats are available and more users can be provisioned.

  • Despite this, the provisioning attempt fails with the above error.

We would appreciate your assistance in investigating the root cause of this error. Specifically:

  • Is this a known issue with the GitHub connector in IdentityNow?

  • Could this be related to caching, sync delays, or connector misconfiguration?

  • Are there any recommended steps to resolve or bypass this error?

Thanks ,

Isha

Hi Isha,

If you are sure that there are enough license and the setup in SailPoint is correct check if you can make the below call and see what is happening in GitHub when SailPoint is provisioning

This may not be the solution but it might give you a way to debug the problem and reachout to your GitHub team to find the root cause.
