I couldn`t find it in the documentations, the max length of a comment it was always 256 or we had an update?
Our users say they could write longer comments, but i`m not so sure!!
And to be honest i just discovered this limit!!
The character limit is a constraint, as mentioned throughout the documentation. Consider contacting SailPoint for assistance. I recommend removing excess details to make it fit within the limit.
And i just realized that there isn`t any type of a message for the end user when exceed the limit. The only behavior is to disabled the save button.
Yeah, end user might get confused, but the dimmed ‘Save’ button indicates the description can’t be saved due to the limit. Educating users about the tool’s limitations is usually best. we do this often. Hope that helps in your case too!
