Changing Employee Number in Authoritative source

Has anyone ever had to change the employee numbers in your authoritative source? We are going to in one of our sources and wanted to see what steps everyone took to make sure the accounts don’t get duplicated in SailPoint. Source right now is correlating off the employee number.

Hi @dpowers1 Have you tried adding additional correlation criteria?

If your identity profile is based on this authoritative source, you shouldn’t need any correlation logic. What would typically happen is the old identity is removed, and a new one is created with the new employee ID. I would try changing a small handful of employee numbers in your sandbox tenant to see the impact.

What we did was ended up moving the handful of employees that we had to change the employeeid to a temp table in the source and deleting them out of the table and run an aggregation to remove them from SailPoint and then added those back to the production table on the source and did an aggregation.
