We are testing certification in lower environment.
For testing , we are keeping the certification expiration to 1 hour using 3 parameters below
Active Period Duration= 1 hr
Revocation Period Duration*= 1hr
Time After Certification Expiration*= 1hr
Certification is kicked off. It is will active state.
Manager got the workitem.
We want to test what happens if the manager does not take ANY action.
Even after 1 hour, the certification is still active.
Even after 5 hour , the certification is still active.
Should we run any task for certification to expire/close.
I do not see any task that starts with name certification .
Also i ran Check Expired Work Items multiple times.

A certification only leaves Active when someone signs off or you’ve enabled Automatic Closing. The Check Expired Work Items task only handles reminders/escalations for work items; it does not close certifications → Solution: Enable Automatic Closing
