Hello,
We are looking to provide a custom functionality which could help in uploading the Applications in bulk on which the Certifications should be scheduled so that if there are some 100s of apps on which the certifications is expected to be scheduled, the team can upload in a single shot instead of selecting each application manually from the dropdown which could be error prone too.

We have been discussing on this design and are currently looking to achieve it via a Custom quick link or a task which can take the uploaded file as input and update the certification definition. But these options look to be a bit complex at the moment.

Really appreciate if someone could provide a much simpler approach to solve this problem.

Thanks,
Sai Kiran.

Definitely, quicklink or plugin options can get tricky and overly complex. A simpler, or at least more straightforward, approach might be to use a task via a rule that picks up the file and updates the definition.

I understand you’re aiming to provide flexibility to the auditor, compliance, or some team, but many of these configurations tend to be static. For instance, you might run campaigns for all user access annually, covering all applications, or do it quarterly for critical or sensitive apps, but it’s unlikely you’ll be changing them every month or week or out of whim. My suggestion is to avoid this complexity—you’ll introduce significant technical debt by doing so. If the team needs changes, they should coordinate with the IDN team for these requests, that’s my 2 cents.

Thank you for the suggestion, Sunny.
We will try to implement this via a run rule task for now as this seems to be a better solution of all other approaches.
But feel free to share if you find any other solution as well which could be ideal for solving this problem.

Sai Kiran.
