I was recently looking into the source JSON for a flat file and came across this attribute that says “beforeProvisioningRule”, if it’s there, does that mean we can create beforeProvisioning Rules for flat file sources as well? I am confused a little as flat file sources do not have Provisioning supported.
In my IdentityIQ experience, the Delimited File connector does not support the Before Provisioning rule because the connector itself does not support provisioning. I would expect this to be the same behavior for IdentityNow as SailPoint leverages the same connector code for both products.
The ‘beforeProvisioningRule’ attribute may exist because it is a standard attribute inherited from the parent class.
I agree to your point that it actually doesn’t make sense to have a beforeProvisioning rule for a flat file but yeah if that is possible, it can be leveraged to do wonders in my opinion.
