Hello Folks,

I wanted to know what is the best practise for this use-case.

Actually we are migrating from one Auth Source to new Old Source.
For this I’m creating new Identity Profile and then change the priority.
So when we do all these things do we need to disable the Attribute Sync till we complete all these work and is it ok to enable.

Please kindly suggest me the right approach.

Turn off all roles. Turn off anything that autocreates accounts in downstream applications until you have correlated all cubes to the new profile. Then turn it all back on again

I performed something similar in the past weekend. Quick summary of what we did:

  1. Turn off attribute sync, change passwords / credentials on all sources to a dummy value. This ensures NOTHING gets through. You will see errors, but that was acceptable
  2. Migrate the source as per this manual (Migrating Between Authoritative Sources - Compass)
  3. Once done, turn back on attribute sync and change credentials back
