Hello,
We are trying to upgrade to IIQ 8.4 from IIQ 8.3P3. In doing so, we see that a new database for access histroy is required. We are in discussion with our DB team to create a new database for Access History but we wanted to know the specifics related to spacing. How much spacing is required for Access History Database? Because this is a new feature and we have not worked on Access History before, we wanted to know what other customers were assigning. We know the spacing depends on the scale of the organization but we wanted some examples as to what other organizations are setting up so we can properly scale our access history database.

Hi @ankeetarjyal,
It mainly depends on your environment set up and the number of changes to the identities.
Database set up can be large and can continue to grow.
Around 30 tables are present in this access history database as per 8.4 access history documentation.

You can allocate half or more size of your current database. Based on the growth of every day you can continue to increase accordingly.

Hi @ankeetarjyal,

It was based on how many request you have per day and Definity it should not be fixed becoz when data will grow the db size also you need to maintain but if you are doing Access Request pruning then it will not impact much.

My suggestion is to touch base with sailpoint and get DB size recommendation. May be in 8.4p1 they will update the doc for Access History DB size details.
