Is it possible to link workgroup as identity owner/supervisor in the same way as Manager? For example, for external identities, I would like decisions in business processes to be made by this particular group. Is it possible to make such a mapping in identity attribute using rules? Not sure if workgroup can be distinguished here as attribute type “identity” (but I saw that from the choice of String or Identity).

From Debug Pages I am able to update the workgroup as a manager of an identity.
This will work if the volume is less.
@mkojder I can think of 2 options,
a. In Creation Rule for external Identity you can add logic to set workgroup as manager
b. In Identity Mapping for manager, you can add global rule for external identity to set WGs as Manager. but here you need to do refresh for that external identity to update manager.
