We need to manage specific administrators inside IdentityIQ.
I can’t figure out whether I should use a workgroup or a role to manage this population. The workgroup is useful for managing approval, while using a business role is useful for traceability and Role Membership certification. I thought about using the loopback connector to benefit from both solutions.

That’s great idea - loopback connector allows you to take benefit from managing workgroups - you can use them in approvals and also assign specific capabilities if needed from one handside and you can manage this membership via role model with all benefits including lifecycle manager.
Yes we also use loopback connector to manage workgroups. People request the roles to get different types of administrator level access. These are all managed by workgroups and capabilities. Loopback connector is the best way.
