WorkDay Employee Status Attribute || IDN

Hi All,

We are integrating Workday with IDN and we are configuring Employee Status attribute as identity attribute using “Active” Attribute coming from workday.

the xpath we are using is ns1:Worker_Data/ns1:Employment_Data/ns1:Worker_Status_Data/ns1:Active

It is working fine with the joiners and leavers as it gives values 1 for joiners as they are active and 0 for leavers as they are not active.

the problem is on the prehire users, sailpoint always see them active although the response we see from workday is inactive.

is there anything missed in the xpath or should i edit anything to avoid this issue?

Hi Ahmed,

To the best of my knowledge, Workday does not have a prehire status, at least not in the Worker_Data table.

We implemented a prehire lifecycle state by checking the user’s HIREDATE and doing a DateCompare to see if that date is before today’s date minus X amount of time.

You can reference this field by using: ns1:Worker_Data/ns1:Employment_Data/ns1:Worker_Status_Data/ns1:Hire_Date

As @zachm117 mentioned even we implemented the pre-hire with the XPATH

You can use a transform to validate the hire_date with the current date and based on your logic you can implement pre-hire and active state

Yes, workday doesn’t have a prehire status, the only attribute they have is the “active attribute” which should be 1 if the user is already joined and 0 if the user is terminated or still the 1st working date is still did not come.

what iam facing is that the active value in case that the user will join after 10 days for example is changed on sailpoint to be 1 although i see it in workday xml response with 0 value and this is the correct value as the user is still not active till the first working date.

Based on your above response of getting the value as 0 from workday but it is getting updated to 1 for the user who is a future hire (after 10 days).

I would request you to check if you see any transform logic configured for the status attribute in the IdentityProfile ?

there is no transform configured with the status attribute.

i also created new attribute mapped to the same xpath to make sure that there is nothing changing the value but it changed also to 1.

is there a way to check from the logs what caused this change ?
