Our team completed a version upgrade for IIQ and we noticed that our RapidSetup Workflows had gotten reverted back to the OOTB workflows. To prevent this in the future, the team and I would like to know where these workflows are stored on the Linux server so we can take a backup of it before the upgrade and redeploy it after.
Hi @alybarolia - the workflows are not stored on the server, they are in the database. The import process with upgrades can overwrite exiting ootb objects. You can use the iiq console or the Object Exporter task to export the objects you want to backup prior to any patch or upgrade. Best practice is to use an SDLC process to manage your code. The SailPoint SSD is a good place to start.
The pre-requisite for any upgrade, is we have to export all the objects, before we start the upgrade, As all the ootb workflows will be updated to the newer ones. We have to export all the xmls.
We have OOTb task available to achieve it.
Go To Task definition- New task → XML Object Exporter.
Please check the task and run it to export all the xml, if you have to export only workflows. Export the workflows.
