Hi team -
I am looking for some documentation or official commentary on any max cap on the number of sources a VA cluster should be allowed to have (depending on the hardware of the VA: processors and memory). I was reading through the VA docs but nothing explicitly is called out as a limit.
I’m also curious if anyone here has set up the networking aspects of a VA:
- What does it mean to be in “close proximity” to a source (network wise)? Is just the VAs being in the same subnet as the sources good enough?
- What if a VA Cluster has VAs which are in different subnets? Could that affect proximity, and by extension the latency (say for provisioning or aggregation)?
I’m trying to resolve an intermittent connection timeout issue for a few sources for a customer who uses just one cluster (4 VAs, divided in 2 subnets) and has ALL sources connected to just that one cluster.
