Unhelpful Generic error message through when 50+ items added to SoD List

What problem are you observing?

When setting up SOD Policies, there is a defined limit of 50 entitlements per list according to the documentation. However, the system will allow you to add more than 50 to the list without warning you. When you click on the Update button, you’ll be provided with the warning dialog that all previous violations will be reset, but no mention of the limit. If you click continue, you get the generic “An error occurred. Please Contact your administrator.” error message, with no further details, and you are left on the edit SOD page.

What is the correct behavior?

One of the following would be a better behavior, in order of usefulness:

  1. When you add 50 items to a list, the system does not allow you to add more.
  2. When you add the 51st item, a warning message pops up stating there is a 50 item limit.
  3. When you click update, a warning message pops up (before the reset warning) telling you that there are over 50 items in a list.
  4. The existing error message that happens after the reset warning shows a meaningful message.

What product feature is this related to?

ISC Separation of Duty Policies.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Create a SOD policy with 50 items in 1 list and save it.
Edit the SOD Policy and add a 51st item to the list.
Click Update. When Reset warning occurs, press Continue.
