Inbuilt Identity attribute: Type value is not reflecting. Mappings looks good from Active Directory

Type its a IIQ attribute and can accept only the values that are configured on Identity Object Configuration.
If you dont have change this configuration, you can find like values employee, contractor etc… with lower case.
Otherwise, IIQ is case sensitive, so if form AD comes Contractor you dont see the correct display name.
So, you can change Identity Object Configuration or you can manage the mapping with rule, changing the output.
