Hello all,

Would like to understand on debug page > tools button > caches there are 5 buttons. However, I am unable to find in-depth explanation of each button and their purpose. Could anyone share more?

Any help is appreciated!

In simple terms:
These buttons refresh system memory so recent changes are picked up without restarting the server.

  1. Reset Miscellaneous Caches
Clears general system caches (like configuration and small temporary data).
Use this if changes are not reflecting properly.

  2. Reset Managed Attribute Cache
Clears cached managed attributes (like roles, entitlements, groups).
Use after updating roles or entitlements.

  3. Load Managed Attribute Cache
Manually reloads managed attributes into memory.
Used if attributes are missing or not loading automatically.

  4. Dump Managed Attribute Cache
Shows the current managed attribute cache content for troubleshooting.
    Mainly for debugging.

  5. Reset IntegrationConfig Cache
    Clears cached application/integration configuration data.
Use after modifying application settings or connector configs.

“Reset Miscellaneous Caches, Reset Managed Attribute Cache, Load Managed Attribute Cache, Dump Managed Attribute Cache and ResetIntegrationConfig Cache. These are infrequently used but can sometimes be used to clear or reset caches without having to stop and restart the application server.”

These cache buttons are rarely used given there’s a cache service that runs every few mins to build those caches. However, common to use them in lower environments when you want to ensure changes are made immediately

These five manage the hibernate cache and are rarely used.
