Is the search query field within the field option in forms not allow inline variable?

I can use inline variable if it is a search filter derived from the search query.

But can I actually use the search query with inline variable? Cause now when I try to input the variable in the search query field as below, it failed with error. No matter it is a data field or form input field

However in the documentation it mentioned should be able to use the inline variable with search query in the example.

Anyone have idea on this or successfully call a variable in the search query in basic search options/advanced search before?

As far as I’m aware, inline variables can be used to populate values for a label, but they cannot be used to generate a dynamic search query, as in your case. The documentation also mentions the same.

Inline variables are not supported where you’re trying to use them. However, they are usable in the “Search Filter” section.
