SDIM Delimited Files and requesting modifications for non - entitlement attributes

We have a rather large amount of delimited file sources (or soon to be) as we transition away from our old request system. One of the gotcha’s I have in planning this out in scale is applications today where attributes defined on the source account need to be updated but are not technically ‘entitlements’ things like job title or location/cost center. These values do have actual function within the native system but you cannot re-request an access profile to send over a comment for what to update.

So my only thought here is to mark these values as entitlements and build AP’s around possible values for them… however, this creates a huge over head as well in maintaining many more AP’s than really necessary.

Has anyone thought or resolved situations like this so that modifications can be requested/automated via roles etc via SDIM apps? Ideally something like attribute syncing would resolve alot of this if SDIM would proactively open a ticket when an attribute it modified but I don’t think that’s something that can be done on a delimited source.

I’d much prefer to not have to build a third party workflow to deal with this if anyone has any ideas.

@ndanjou check out these links. They might give you some ideas about using forms from workflows or in the request process.
