I’m currently going through the SailPoint IdentityIQ Introduction course, and I came across a question that I’m having trouble understanding. I’ve attached the question along with the provided answer. Could someone please explain it in more detail? I want to make sure I fully grasp the concept before moving on.
The question involves whether a user who can request changes for Roles can also request changes for Entitlements. I initially thought that if a user has the ability to request changes for Roles, they should also be able to request changes for Entitlements. However, the course suggests that “Entitlement” is the wrong answer.

This is a very interesting case, I took a quick peep at the course to confirm the details and noticed this in the contents.
Now from my understanding of the question, you are correct as users can request Roles and Entitlements.
What I would suggest you do is perhaps create a support ticket to SP for this to see if this is a bug.

I think you need yo look this from the lense of IGA ( Identity Governance ) not just Sailpoint . Also i would suggest don’t get confused with Role and don’t think that as a bundle .
What can be changed over the lifecycle of the user is role/responsibilities , which can change the sailpoint role/ bundle and entitlement .
