Provisioning Transaction Logs

8.3p4

We have configuration as ‘Failure’ for Provisioning Transaction. I would like to know, will Provisioning transaction show failure status even if result was success after retries?

For instance, the Provisioning was failed at first time, but we retried, and after 3rd attempt status was success, will IIQ still show the failure log or clear that record?

@ashishbhatia

Status will move to success and will no longer be failed

if you configure to have only Failed transactions, Success ones will be removed automatically from this page.

ok thanks!
Just to confirm, will it be same transaction log that will be moved to success and no longer visible or will it be the different success one?

Global Settings> IdentityIQ Configurations > Miscellaneous

You have to configure the Provisioning Transaction Log feature appropriately.

There are levels to logging, if you want IdentityIQ to log success, you must set the “Maximum Log Level” to success, otherwise IIQ wont log any provisioning transactions that are successful.

Configuring this to success now will not log previous successful transactions, If thats what you’re asking. Only transactions that are successful after configuring this feature will be logged.

I am aware of these settings.

My query is: In case Failure is configured in settings.
SailPoint will log failed transaction at the first time in case of failure, but if we have retry logics implemented and in second time provisioning is success, will the same transaction log will be updated, and it won’t appear in logs or failed transaction will remain there?

It will not remain, because overall transaction status will move to success, but still if you have doubt you can do a quick validation from your end.

Thanks All!
I have verified, When Status is set to Failure only failure will be captured only once all the Retries has been exhausted.
