IIQ 8.4 p2 from 8.3
We upgraded recently to 8.4 from 8.3. There is a report for certification which is custom and is a plugin which worked very well in 8.2 and 8.3. It has a jar file called Rule Datasource.jar. The jar file is placed in WEB-INF/lib. I get an error extracting the report in 8.4 and its referencing the jar file. The diff in 8.3 to 8.4 is java 8 to 11. Does any one experience this kinda error or any feed back on the below error.
The JAR likely contains a class that relies on a method deprecated or modified in 8.4. Since you don’t have the source, decompile the JAR to see which methods are invoked, verify their status in 8.4, and rewrite the module accordingly if you want to use this report.
Also, do you mind share what kind of data is generated by this report?
If this RuleDataSource.jar was compiled in Java 8, recompile it in Java 11 and then give it a quick try. Hopefully, there is an immediate error that is easy to fix.
