Password Interceptor for Microsoft Active Directory - New Release and Deprecation Updates

SailPoint is sunsetting the ISC legacy API gateway (Cloud Commander) and V2 APIs. In preparation for the sunset, customers must update the Password Interceptor (PWI) for Microsoft Active Directory to version 24.0.0 which will be released on February 8, 2024. The update must take place by March 31, 2024 in order to ensure continued operations.
Previous supported versions (21.0.0 and 20.0.0) will be deprecated and no longer be operational after March 31, 2024.

Along with the new release version, we are pleased announced the new features and capabilities of Password Interceptor for Microsoft Active Directory.

What you need do ?

If you are using earlier versions of Password Interceptor for Microsoft Active Directory, you must update to the latest Password Interceptor for Microsoft Active Directory Version 24.0.0 in order to address this change. You must update the Source Identifier during the upgrade process. The detail documentation steps of the upgrade process and updating Source Identifier will be part of the official guide of version 24.0.0.

New Features and Capabilities

With this new release of Microsoft Active Directory Password Interceptor version 24.0.0, you will get the following new features and enhanced capabilities of Password Interceptor-

  • Active Directory Password Interceptor will now successfully intercept and process all passwords during bulk password change request. This capability also includes management of frequent bulk change password changes.
  • Active Directory password interceptor now retries the intercepted password after processing other passwords in queue.
  • Improvisation on exceptions for better user experience and troubleshooting issues

Dropped Support

With this release of Active Directory Password Interceptor version 24.0.0, SailPoint announces deprecation of Active Directory Password Interceptor versions 21.0.0 and 20.0.0. However, SailPoint provides support in case of any issue or concern during the upgrade from the deprecated versions 21.0.0 and 20.0.0.
