OOTB Support for SAP ECC (Finance) and SAP ECP

We have a requirement where we need to provision/deprovision access to SAP ECC (Finance) and SAP ECP.

I checked some OOTB SAP connector documentation (v8.3p2) and have some clarifications.

  • Does SAP – Direct OOTB connector support SAP ECC (Finance)? The documentation indicated that it supports SAP ECC, but Finance was not necessarily listed under the modules. I just wanted to confirm that support for SAP ECC includes SAP ECC Finance.

  • Is there an OOTB connector available that supports SAP ECP? Employee Central was mentioned in SAP SuccessFactors connector documentation but it’s unclear if that includes provisioning/deprovisioning of SAP ECP access.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to SailPoint Developer Community.

SAP has API for all the modules, you can use WebServices connector.

There is no information about ECP, I would suggest you to raise a support ticket or have a word with your CSM. That might give you more clarity.

We were hoping to be able to leverage the SAP - Direct OOTB connector if possible. I’ve raised a support ticket initially and was advised to reach out to the account’s CSM or utilize the Compass or Developer Discussion community forums to inquire about functionalities or other custom use-cases. We’ve also raised the same questions to the client’s CSM and he’s reached out to a few internal resources to hopefully get an answer.

Here’s the feedback we received from the client’s CSM.

  • Does SAP – Direct OOTB connector support SAP ECC (Finance)? The documentation indicated that it supports SAP ECC, but Finance was not necessarily listed under the modules. I just wanted to confirm that support for SAP ECC includes SAP ECC Finance.
    • SAP Direct is built for modules based on SAP, but not all of the modules have been tested by us at SailPoint. Please refer to this link for SAP ECC modules that the connector should be able to support https://www.system-overload.org/sap/modules.html!
  • Is there an OOTB connector available that supports SAP ECP? Employee Central was mentioned in SAP SuccessFactors connector documentation but it’s unclear if that includes provisioning/deprovisioning of SAP ECP access.
    • Our SuccessFactors connector is for managing the Employee Central (HCM) module and not payroll, or ECP. We currently do not have an OOTB for ECP.
