New Release: API Specs Now Available for Download

All,

Thank you so much for your patience while we worked on this feature alongside so many others that you’ve seen in the SailPoint Developer Community since we launched our refresh last October.

We are excited to announce that the API specs for all of our APIs are now available for download. This means that you can now access the same detailed information about our APIs, including request and response formats, endpoint descriptions, and more in one local OpenAPI specification file!

NOTE: Please remember that we have official Postman collections for our products, and we advise that you don’t attempt to generate your own Postman collections, but use the official, SailPoint-maintained collections.

We understand the importance of having this information locally to effectively build your own tools using our APIs, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you all to get started. With this availability, we hope that you will be able to quickly and easily integrate our APIs into your projects.

The API specs can be found on each APIs Introduction page, in a button labeled Export at the top,right-hand side of the page.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Developer Relations team, or just post here in the forum!

Hi @jordan_violet ,

this is really great news - thank you very much to everybody who contributed to make this possible.

May we ask if there is a chance to access the “older” API specifications, especially for 8.1 & 8.2, also in this very useful way / format?
This would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Daniel

Hey Daniel,

Thanks for the feedback–we appreciate the sentiments!

For the IIQ API specs for previous versions, I’ve forwarded this onto the IdentityIQ PM team to see if that is something they can provide for you all. I’ll report back with what I hear from them.
