When you go to the link in that event to register, you are asked to fill in the information, and then there is a checkbox at the end:
The wording with the double negative can be confusing to people
Uncheck the box to discontinue receiving email communications from SailPoint.
The standard wording would be sufficient here:
Check the box to if you would like to receive email communications from SailPoint.
