ISC Entra Connector - onPremisesExtensionAttributes

tldr: Attribute Names for Entra extensionAttributes overlap one another in the UI

I’m setting up the Entra Connector in my sandbox environment.

We need the onPremisesExtensionAttributes 1 through 15, as we’ll need to be able to set use these in account creation and attribute sync.

I’ve sucessfully added them to the schema, and when I aggregate - I do get the values - all that works fine.

However - in the UI when looking at an Identity’s Account for Entra - the attribute names are so long they don’t display properly. The text of the attribute names overlap, making it impossible to use this scren.

How can I fix this?

I’ve looked at the json for the source - it doesn’t look possible to give the attributes a shorter display name? Am I missing something?

(I have a 4k monitor - even when I make the browser full screen - the attribute names still overlap)

On the Identity level (Details) it is of course possible to switch between Single and Multiple columns

But this option isn’t available at the Accounts level.

There’s a lot of this type of interface inconsistency in the product, which is super frustrating and massively adds to the friction of using this product.

Hello Caroline. I think this is not a missing setting on your side. The Entra connector expects the case-sensitive onPremisesExtensionAttributes_extensionAttributeN names, and the account schema does not offer a display-label or alias field to shorten what appears in the Accounts panel. (Custom Extension Attributes)

My suggestion would be to keep the documented schema names as they are and raise the overlap with SailPoint as a UI defect. In the meantime, the Search Attributes field is worth using as a navigation aid, since it will at least isolate the attribute you are looking for.

Did they fix this after raising a UI defect ? Any updates on this will be really helpful

Unfortunately, they have not extended the Single/Multiple column view to Accounts that they added to the Identity Attributes page shown below.

I have added an Idea to the Ideas portal for this, which you can add any additional details you would like to it. https://ideas.sailpoint.com/ideas/GOV-I-5550
