IQService : Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)

Error: ‘file:///P:\IQService\Utils.dll’ or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)

Why: The connector rule cannot locate the necessary dependency DLL. If your organization’s File secure software deems a site unreliable, it will protect the IQServer installation zip file you downloaded.

Solution

  • When you download use **Right click → Properties → Unblock
  • If you have already downloaded and extracted a zip file, please unblock all items within the IQService folder recursively.
    Get-ChildItem *.* -Recurse | Unblock-File

Please ensure, you install and reinstall the IQservice.

Permanent fix for future upgrades
You can avoid this issue by adding it to your list of trusted sites. Internet Explorer → Tools Menu → Internet Options → Security Tab → Trusted Sites . Future downloads will not be marked as blocked.
