You can use attributes.identityState as a criteria in both the Search UI and the Seach API.
The Search API also allows you to get attributes.identityState in the search results.
However in the Search UI it doesn’t have Identity State in the Column Chooser, so it isn’t possible to see Identity State in the search results.
Am I missing something?
Is the Search UI going to be updated to include Identity State in the column chooser?
We’re about to implement the “Inactive (short-term)” Identity State - but if I can’t do searches through the UI that include Identity State as an output - this is a big issue for us.
Cloud Lifecycle States aren’t the same as Identity States. There can be a many to one relationship (multiple Cloud Lifecycle States set to one of the Identity States) and the relationship between them can vary per Identity Profile.
I have about a dozen Cloud Lifecycle States across several Identity Profiles, and depending on the Identity Profile - a Cloud Lifecycle State might be linked to a “Active” Identity State in one Identity Profile, but linked to an “Inactive (short-term)” Identity State in another Identity Profile.
Therefore the Cloud Lifecycle State isn’t a substitute for Identity State in Search results. In a complex ISC implementation - one would need to do significant processing on the resulting csv to translate one to the other. This isn’t an option when the Search in the UI is being saved and a subscription is being used to send the report to management who are using the Identity State to check ISC licensing conformity.
Unfortunately you don’t have the column option to choose the identity state. I can also see the identity state field is not showing in the suggested field when you type a query in Search bar.
So currently it is added only in the documentation and not showing in the suggest field and not available in column chooser.
