To link SAP users and SAP employees in SailPoint without assigning roles directly, SailPoint provides Provisional Position, a dummy position which you can use for provisioning operations. This dummy position must be used alongside a valid EmployeeID during provisioning. SailPoint does not assign positions directly to SAP users, but it does link SAP users with SAP employees using the EmployeeID. Any roles assigned via Organization Data to SAP employees are automatically synchronized with the SAP user based on this relationship.
How exactly can we provision roles indirectly to a position? Is there a rule required or a configuration not explained in the documentation?
