I was just curious how others were handling Entitlements with multiple owners in IIQ?
The Standard Properties field for Owner only supports the use of either an identity or a workgroup as far as I know.
We’ve already created an aggregation rule that takes an owner-related schema attributes for aggregated groups where they exist, and maps it to the Owner attribute under Standard properties but with the field being limited to a single object, it just pulls the first person off of any list.
The context for this ask is that there are many Entra objects that have multiple owners, and in turn could mean multiple people that could end up as potential certifiers in a Certification Campaign in the future.
Here’s a few solutions we’ve considered with little thought to how viable they are or how they’d be constructed :
- Make a rule that dynamically creates workgroups on aggregation if an entitlement has multiple owners and assigns the workgroup as the Owner
- Make a rule in the Certifier rule in the certification that looks at the Object properties to promote owner-related schema attributes into the Certifier field. (for example, someone in the managedBy attribute would be the certifier for the entitlement in question.)
- Just letting it work the way it works and make use of the delegation feature included with entitlements.
