Expanding Support for Cloud Machine Identities

Business Problem

Cloud environments create many machine and workload identities across providers, accounts, and services. Managing how they relate to each other, who owns them, and what they are used for can be difficult, especially as more cloud agents and automated workloads are introduced. We are exploring expanded support for cloud machine identities to help customers map identities across clouds, connect related identities, capture ownership, and produce the information needed for governance and reporting.

Schedule a meeting with SailPoint’s Product Management team.

Sound Familiar?

  1. Machine and workload identities feel fragmented across AWS, Microsoft, and GCP.

  2. It is hard to understand how a cloud agent or workload maps to the identities and permissions it uses.

  3. Ownership and accountability for machine identities are unclear or hard to maintain over time.

  4. You need better inventory and reporting to support audits, access reviews, and bills of material.

Get Involved

Join a discovery call to share how you manage cloud machine identities today and what you need next. Your input will help shape priorities and early designs.

During the call (schedule now!), our Product Management team will:

  1. Share the outcomes we are targeting and show mocks of forthcoming capabilities to collect feedback.

  2. Discuss workload identity types we should support across clouds, including AWS IAM roles and IAM users, Microsoft Entra app registrations and cloud service accounts, and GCP service accounts.

  3. Learn how you want machine identities interconnected, for example linking an AWS AgentCore agent to its execution roles, which can link to other IAM roles and cloud resources.

  4. Review the best ways to collect and maintain ownership information for machine identities.

  5. Understand what information you need to build bills of material for cloud agents.
