Description
The SMB application connector now supports two important features: Test connection and Reports integration. Once the application configuration is complete, verify SMB was properly configured by running the test connection task.
Why this matters
Customer are now able to test the usability of their SMB connector configuration and capabilities such as: verifying the ability to list shares, verifying the ability to read share permissions and verifying the ability to use DAS data classification capabilities before deploying the connector.
The Test Connection will run and validate a series of validations to see if the application was configured correctly.
Customer are also able to integrate results related to the SMB application connector in existing DAS reports, expending the reporting capabilities.
Who is affected?
All DAS customers with SMB file shares.
