Description
SailPoint® is excited to announce an enhancement to Access Risk Management (ARM) that allows for more efficient processing of larger data sets, ensuring better scalability as customer data grows. No action is required—just faster performance!
As larger customers adopt ARM, some of their data sets have exceeded ARM’s current processing capacity. To resolve this, ARM has implemented a new approach that divides large files into smaller increments for sequential processing. This enhancement allows ARM to efficiently manage and analyze significantly larger data sets, ensuring scalability as customer data volumes grow.
Problem
The top end size of customers purchasing ARM is increasing. These larger data sets are currently exceeding the maximum size data set that ARM can analyze. Until this year, the largest single data set ARM saw was 400MB. Recently, 2 new customers have exceeded this with 16GB and 9GB data sets. ARM needed a way to manage analysis for these larger data sets.
Solution
We have updated the way ARM processes these files in to break the files up into smaller increments that can be processed serially. In theory, this will allow ARM to process any size file. It will just run in smaller chunks until it completes. The solution has already been successfully deployed and tested with one of the 2 largest customers (customer with 9GB file) mentioned above.
Who is affected?
All ARM customers.
