Emergency Access Accounts

We are setting up emergency access accounts in Identity Security Cloud per the documentation: Updating Emergency Access Admins - SailPoint Identity Services

The problem is, all of our employees already have an identity, so what happens when we create the break glass accounts using the IdentityNow Admins source is the user never receives the registration email, because their email is already tied to their main identity.

How have you seen emergency access accounts used when the admins already have identities in SailPoint?

2 identities can have same email ( one for elevated permission and another for standard account)

Vishal, I appreciate your response. However, with the same email, how is the second identity supposed to set a password to be able to log into SailPoint with the administrator account?

Admins will send the reset the password link for the users and details will be send to the email / secemail tied to that account .

For others with this issue, we solved this by creating a separate email (email alias) for the admin users, and used that email for the emergency access identities.

To be clear, you should not have multiple identities with the same email address, according to SailPoint documentation.
