Can we transform the identity manager attribute before correlation?

Is it possible to transform the identity manager attribute before correlation in SailPoint ISC?

I already created a transform and confirmed that it works correctly for other attributes.
However, the manager attribute is still being correlated using the original (pre-transform) value, which is why I’m asking.

If this is supported, which transform should be used?

Would you mind sharing a bit more detail on what you’re trying to accomplish? Are you trying to correlate the Manager relationship, or are you only looking to transform the manager value on the identity? Also, what should it be transformed into? If the goal is to influence manager correlation, transforms don’t apply there. If it’s complex this typically requires a Manager Correlation Rule.

I was trying to use a transform to set the manager to a static value and then apply correlation using that value.
From your explanation, I understand now that transforms cannot influence manager correlation.

Understood. Per Sailpoint ISC documentation, you can’t use a Transform to set a static manager and then have manager correlation use that transformed value. Manager correlation only looks at the manager value coming from the source account attribute.
