Can We Query a table from Buildmap rule

Hi,

Can we query a table using JDBC buildmap rule?

On Oracle EBS document, I see that to aggregate custom attributes we need to use JDBC build map rule which initiates the query of the table fetching custom columns.

Has anyone tried this before?
